Adolescent services and programs are also offered by the Community Services Departments of most local government councils.

 

School Counsellors can also be a good area of support for adolescents experiencing personal problems.

 

TAFE Colleges and Universities all have student counselling services, and can be considered as another option.

 

Often potential users will need to contact more than one agency and have a preliminary interview to determine whether the services are suitable for the individuals needs. In the first instance make telephone contact to discuss the situation, and ask advise about the most suitable options currently available.

 

The adolescent area is a specialised area of counselling and support, and it is best to gain advise from specialists from that sector.
